Chris has a B.A. degree from the College of Santa Fe and has completed the course work in Alcohol and Drug Counseling at Loyola Marymount University. Chris has 3 years experience working in a sober living environment and has gained valuable experience working over 1,000 hours as a Registered Recovery Worker for the Salvation Army.
As a result of these experiences Chris is familiar with the day to day needs of those in early recovery. He has witnessed, and experienced, in his own 4 years of sobriety, the potential for individual growth and healing that can occur in a positive, supportive, and community focused, sober living environment.
Chris has managed Advanced House Sober Living, since its beginning in the spring of 2010, where he strives to provide a structured, supportive and welcoming environment for clients to begin a sober life. He is inspired by the unique opportunity he has to help people live the best life possible, free from drugs and alcohol.
In addition to Chris and the other AHSL staff, the house has contact with therapists and life coaches in the area and can research referrals for most client needs. The house also employs cleaning and gardening staff to ensure the environment is healthy and appealing.
